I read magazines all the time about all the nice personal equipment you can take to feel more comfortable for a long plane ride. Actually, first class makes a difference (Ha!) but I’m a Southwest traveler and so stand with your number and just take an undesignated seat. But there are certain tricks that help you feel more comfortable. Sometimes when people fall asleep, their head flops down. This can be helped with a travel pillow that holds it in place. Shoes off, walk around, don’t sit the whole trip, bad for your back, drink water, etc. are all good suggestions. But for me, being more concerned about my health than comfort, I get concerned with the stuff coming out of the air ducts, and people coughing and sneezing. This definitely causes me to take mega doses of Vitamin C before my trip, during my trip and after too. I find it works!
